Independent Inspection Services for Ground-Mounted Solar PV Projects
RAMIRA Energy provides independent third-party inspection and quality control services for ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) projects on behalf of investors and project owners.
As a Type A Inspection Body operating in accordance with TS EN ISO/IEC 17020, RAMIRA Energy independently inspects civil, mechanical and electrical works, installation activities, testing and commissioning processes against approved project documentation, technical specifications, manufacturer instructions and applicable standards.
RAMIRA Energy is not an EPC contractor or solar installation company. Our role is to independently inspect the works performed by EPC contractors and other project contractors, identify non-conformities and report technical findings to the investor or project owner.
What Is Ground-Mounted Solar PV Inspection?
Ground-mounted solar PV inspection involves the independent verification of civil, mechanical and electrical works performed during the construction and commissioning of a solar power plant.
Site activities are assessed for compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, manufacturer installation manuals and applicable standards. Identified non-conformities are documented and reported to the investor or project owner.
Our Ground-Mounted Solar PV Inspection Scope
1. Documentation and Project Review
Approved drawings, technical specifications, construction drawings, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), material documentation and manufacturer installation manuals are reviewed to establish the technical requirements applicable to site inspections.
2. Civil Works and Site Inspection
Site preparation, earthworks, access roads, drainage systems, foundations and other civil works are inspected for compliance with approved project documentation and technical requirements.
3. Mounting Structure Inspection
PV mounting structures are inspected for positioning, alignment, elevation, connection details and tightening torque. Installation quality is assessed against approved drawings, technical specifications and manufacturer instructions.
4. PV Module Installation Inspection
Handling, storage and installation of PV modules are inspected. Module positioning, clamp locations, tightening torque, physical damage and compliance with manufacturer installation instructions are verified during site inspections.
5. Electrical Works Inspection
DC and AC cabling, connector installation, inverters, switchgear, transformers, auxiliary electrical systems and grounding installations are inspected for compliance with approved project documentation and technical specifications.
6. Testing and Commissioning Supervision
Electrical tests performed before and during commissioning are independently witnessed and evaluated. Where applicable, IV curve testing, insulation resistance measurements, grounding tests and thermographic inspections are used to assess installation quality and system performance.
7. Non-Conformity and Punch List Management
Non-conformities identified during site inspections are documented and tracked through NCR and Punch List processes. Corrective actions are monitored and close-out inspections are performed where required.
8. Final Inspection and Technical Reporting
Upon completion of the project, final site inspections are performed. Inspection findings, test results and identified non-conformities are documented and presented to the investor or project owner through technical inspection reports.
